The Right Words Change Things

In the book of Genesis, chapter 1 verse three , God ‘s word says:

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” KJV

In the book of John, chapter 1 verse one through verse four, God’s word says:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.” KJV

Please notice two things: Jesus created the world. And He was called the Word. How did he create the world? By SPEAKING it into being.

Words are the most powerful things in the world. The power of life and death are in the tongue. Who’s tongue? Your tongue!

“My feet are killing me.”
“My old car is a deathtrap”.
“This old house is falling apart.”
“I hate my job.”
“Women. Can’t live with ’em, can’t live without ’em!”
“Ladies have you ever noticed, all of our problems start with men. MENstrual cycle, MENopause, MENtal Illness.”
“No matter how hard I try, I can never seem to get ahead”.

“The tongue is a little member of the body, but it acts like a rudder and steers the whole ship.”
That’s what God says about the matter.

“You better watch what you say to me boy”, is often used as a threat; but really what a teachable moment it could be if presented in the right light to a young person:

“Son, words are the most powerful things on earth. They can make your mothers whole day when you use them to say
‘Mama that was the best spaghetti I think I’ve ever tasted’……
‘Honey I don’t know if that dress makes you look more beautiful, or you make the dress look more beautiful. Wow!’……..
‘Daddy I think you got the best lookin’ truck in the county!’…….
‘Boss, that may be the best idea you’ve ever had!’…….
Are you getting the picture now son? The right words change things!

If there is anything that you need or want, Jesus said “when you ask, BELIEVE you receive“. He also said “you have not, because you ask not“.

The Centurion impressed Jesus when he said “I understand what it’s like to be a man of authority. All you need do sir is speak the word and it will be done“. Jesus spoke. The Centurion believed. The healing was received. Bing, bang, boom, just like that.

Now it’s your turn:
“Happiness BE, in Jesus name.”
“Every day, in every way, I’m getting stronger and healthier!”
“I’ve got my resume’ in at several places that I’d like to work. I know I’m going to get one of those jobs, because I’m blessed and highly favored by the Lord.”
“My wife gets more beautiful every day!”
“Boy the Lord sure has blessed me with some great kids.”

“Well by golly, I call things like I see ’em.” Really? That’s too bad.
Because Jesus said to “Call things that be not as though they are.”

That’s not wishful thinking. That’s projecting yourself into a better future.
